On Thursday he ate through research genre production, but he was still hungry.

Another annotation we did as a class assignment was "Identifying a Conversation". This article jumpstarted our study of genre and became the first step in identifying the genres in my research project. In class, after this was due, we had an in-class activity to identify our own conversations using the sources we gathered.
This quote not only stuck out to me in the essay we had to read for this homework assignment but also helped me throughout my project. This definition was useful for defining genre and conversations in my research proposal and final research paper. The "many voices" were significant because many people from different backgrounds are able to speak about the same topic from their different perspectives.
This essay is my Literature Review Final Draft. Using the few sources we had gathered in the beginning, I wrote about the significance of the sources I chose, their contents, and that I chose to analyze by genre. The quote above about conversations is included in this essay. This essay was a practice draft for what we would do later in our final draft, where we had to summarize and contextualize the sources we chose in our methods section. I had to define genre, use it in the context of my research topic, and connect all of it together.
