On Friday he ate through contributing knowledge, but he was still hungry.

The Initial Methods Write-Up, an assignment that was assigned for us to start contributing ideas to our methods section of our research paper in accordance with the IMRaD model, can be used to explain how I was “Contributing Knowledge” to my research assignment. I had to do a lot of analyzing of my first few sources for information that I would like to use as evidence in my methods section and, specifically, draw conclusions about my analyses in the context of speech pathology discourse community conversations.

Like the very hungry caterpillar, I was always looking for new information I could add to my overall project. I constantly sought improvement, personal growth, and more contextualization.
This artifact is a compilation of the first research articles and data that I wanted to use for my literature review. The contributing knowledge section requires students to draw conclusions based on the analysis and interpretation of primary evidence and place that work in conversation with other source materials, and that is exactly what this chart was intended to be used for. This chart has a specific column just for identifying the conversations talked about with other source materials. I had to analyze and draw conclusions about six sources that pertained to my research subject. I referred back to this document many times while I was writing, and it was especially helpful that I wrote down the most important parts of the article to summarize it.
