To begin the research process, we had to do some initial reading about the potential subject we wanted to study. I used this Google Doc to compile all the sources I thought I could get significant information out of to contribute to my argument.

Included at the bottom of the page was also a reflection about my source-gathering process. I included where I struggled, where I had doubts, and what I felt proud of. The reflection part was an assignment that was due at the beginning of our search process, and looking back on it, I am able to see where I grew and where I did not.

During this step, and throughout most of the project, my professor commented on how I lacked sources about rhetoric, like genre, and how it was important that I needed to include more. Instead, I focused on gathering evidence about speech pathology, when I should've been researching the bigger picture.

This research question is what I used all semester to research my topic. I never changed it, and it helped me refine my search for subtopic-specific documents

This was my initial inquiry about my topic and where I wanted my research to go. I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep genre as my rhetorical study, but researching these questions helped me figure out I wanted to.

On Monday he ate through generating inquiry. But he was still hungry.

Students will be able to generate and explore genuine lines of inquiry related to writing, language, literacy, and/or rhetoric.
